Calling all big bold African filter fans - this one's for you! This uncommon peaberry coffee comes to us from the boffins at Paradox and is a perfect balance of bold and subtle flavours, underpinned by a typical Rwandan big body. We love coffees like this because they keep everyone happy - makes an excellent hot or chilled batch brew for the home or office.

For the geeks: Rwanda has a reputation for producing exceptional big bodied specialty coffees and this peaberry lot takes it to a new level. Peaberries are the result of a singular coffee bean forming inside the cherry instead of the usual two. This relatively rare but entirely normal mutation only occurs in about 5-10% of any given harvest and produces a bean that is smaller, denser, and superior in flavour, making them a sought after microlot. This particular lot comes from the Nkara Washing Station in the Gakenke district, which services 130 local smallholder farmers, and was given a straight washed processing before being dried on traditional raised African beds. The combination of the peaberry mutation, local climate and processing results in a clean, vibrant and elevated cup with subtle tea and floral notes that compliment solid dark chocolate and juicy plum notes.
